WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY'S COLLECTIVE VISION FOR ITS SCHOOLS?
What does the community want for its students and its investment into its schools?
How can the school buildings support the community and educational vision?
What must be done to address the present and emerging needs of students?
The Educational Legacy Planning process combines the following research methods to establish a draft plan for moving forward:
1) Educational program visioning study to establish how to best educate children at all levels.
2) Community aspirations for schools.
3) A detailed assessment of school buildings based upon the ideal vision discovered in the research.
The process then evaluates the educational adequacy of the buildings to support present and future learning – especially as it relates to the community’s long range vision for its schools.
Synthesizing the data in these three categories helps to establish a plan for moving forward well into the future.
